Limited vs. Full Registration
Both registration types give your puppy full AKC status. The difference lies in what comes next — specifically, whether any future offspring can be registered with the AKC.
Limited AKC Registration · Pet Home · $3,000
Your puppy is fully AKC registered, but any offspring they produce will not be eligible for AKC registration. This is the standard registration for puppies going to pet homes. Spay or neuter is required by 18 months of age.
Full AKC Registration · Show & Breeding · $4,000
Your puppy is fully AKC registered with breeding rights intact. Reserved for approved show, performance, and breeding homes. Approval at breeder's discretion.
